Bio

Scott West has been behind a microphone since May of 1979. That's when he went from intern to on-air personality at the then legendary WWRL-AM in New York. He would soon become a regular fill-in jock for 'RL' and its sister station, WRVR-FM.

Because in those days you had to read 'live' commercials, and be believable, all the on-air veterans took the time to help him hone his voice over skills. So while getting nearly every day fill-in opportunities, Scott, or, Wayne Scott, as he was known during his NYC days, managed to earn his very first paid voice over gig, doing a PSA for the American Heart Association. After two years as a 'back-up', Wayne got a chance to be a 'starter', when he moved to Dallas/Fort Worth, becoming the morning drive personality for KNOK-FM. That's when Wayne Scott became, "The Wild-Wild Scott West!". (O-K, explanation time...his boss was into 'creative' on-air nicknames; hey he came close to being named Scott Mercury!)

Before long, Scott West was not only a top rated morning personality, but his voice was behind some of the most listened to commercials in DFW. He would move on to rival FM, KKDA/K-104, where he hosted "The Scott West Trafficjam"; at its peak the top rated afternoon drive program in the Southwest! It was while working for 104 that Scott, after filling-in on a voice over gig for a co-worker, met talent agent Nancy Johnson, who promptly asked Scott if Professional Artists of Texas could represent him. It was the beginning of a relationship with Johnson and now The Campbell Agency, that remains strong to this day!

While voicing national ad campaigns for 7-11, Pizza-Hut, Bank of America, MetroPCS, American Heart Association, Frito-Lay and the NFL, as well as book trailers for authors like New York Times best-seller, Sandra Brown, Scott has also been an award winning sports broadcaster with the Dallas Cowboys Radio Network, during their Super Bowl winning 1992-93 and 95 seasons, and since 1998, he has been a fixture in syndication, hosting a variety of shows while with ABC Radio Networks, currently Cumulus/Citadel, and IRN/USA Radio Network, where he's hosted "DaybreakUSA w/Scott West."

Scott still calls Dallas/Fort Worth home, and is ready to put his professional pipes behind your message!
